Just in the morning I was telling Shereen.. "Wo yao jian fei~!"

But then.. Few hours later in the afternoon..

TADA!
Haha! Lunch @ SEOUL Garden in Causeway Point With her & Kenneth!

That Cheeky Side Of Ken..

Mr. "Oh So Cool!" Side..

Mr. & Mrs. Pig! Haa~

Crazy gf took this!
Emo girl waiting for friends & food, staring at the ceiling... "Oh~! Will there be food in my plate anytime soon?"

Too bad there wasn't any "AFTER" photos! You should see how hyper she was all the food was on the table! Shereen & I were laughing our asses off!

Ok! One year ago, I remembered performing on this stage for 5 minutes! I messed up pretty badly.. BAD BAD BAD..

One year later, a full 20-minute kids show, much more confident, much more fun!

Paper bag magic with flowers!

Disappearing water bottle!

Thanks Sharon for taking these wonderful photos! =D

Though on MC and not in school, I celebrated our 2nd month still! =D

We headed to Sakae Sushi for lunch with Sharon & Sherlyn who were there to also celebrate a very very belated birthday of Shereen.
No fanciful gifts for her this month, just a simple black diary of memories.
I hope she'll cherish it.. =)

Some of the good foos at Sakae Sushi~

Chawanmushi - Mouth-watering as usual..

Temaki - Couple of nice ones like Soft Shell Crab, Lobster Salad..

Something new? - Ebi Avocado & Sashimi Avocado

This looks so lovely, couldn't bear to eat it!

Food at Sakae Sushi:
- Pretty normal taste
- Doesn't seem to be very fresh
- Rated 3.5/5

Do check out the outlet @ Sembawang Sun Plaza Shopping Centre! The ambience's pretty good!

Ok! Now, for the self-lecturing session.
Paul, you're so dumb! Cos' you have the best camera around and you didn't even snap a photo of yourself with Shereen today!
Now that Sherlyn's phone is lost, all your photos in her phone are gone too!
Paul, you're so dumb so dumb!

Countdown to her flying back! : Few Hours!

Alright! Anyway, had 2 hours of sleep, jumped out of bed, and hurried for my preparation for the show!
No time for practices now, just pack and go!
I was actually changing into my clothes and eating a plate of fried rice at the same time! SKILL!
Lloyd's waiting for me under my block by 2pm! (Thanks again! =D)

Today at United Square, we had ample time to prepare, no rush, no hurry, everything was right on schedule.
Of course, I was much calmer and ready compared to yesterday.
Setup was much faster and smoother and the whole magic show started right on the dot! =D
It felt as if I just woke up and standing fresh beside the stage ready to go!

OK, this time, mistakes made yesterday were noted and corrected. However, I had new problems!
1) Snowstorm pieces just couldn't fly into the air! (BAD QUALITY! Got to buy another new pack of snowstorm which is almost like the Seo's.)
2) Blur head stotong! Had not completed my opening act and wanted to rush to get the microphone from the MC! (*Smack*)
3) Today, I got a seemingly hyper Indian girl up on stage and she became half-enthu, she only dances halfway with me. =(

I think I'm more like a kid compared to those kids! Haha!

Overall, much better job done today!

Missing Shereen for the 3 days now! =P

Anyway, just got home from last night drinking session with Sean!
Well..
Details = *Secret*

Gonna head to bed for an hour or so before heading off to for another magic show in United Square later after noon..

Updates on yesterday!

Breakfast in the morning - Mee Rebus (EEeee...)
Did a quick run on my routines for the Fantasma Magic show happening at United Square later in the afternoon.

Packed up by 1pm. Ready to go, with Melvin patiently waiting at Northpoint Macdonalds.
Transport was late for 1.5 hours! (Sorry Melvin!)
Lloyd had to travel here and there, plus the jams. (So, understandable=D)

Arrived United Square, unloaded, set up and ready to starT!
Show started ASAP as soon as i am done with all the preparations! (One of the most rushed shows I've done!)
As usual, unexpected encounters during the show!

Mind was a little messed up due to the rush and thus:
1) Was a little nervous performing?! My hands were shaking while holding the stalk of flower??!!
2) Rope routine went haywire! (Phew! Lucky it wasn't too bad!)
3) Change bag routine was OMG! Supposedly empty bag had another 2 handkerchiefs?!
4) Run out of snowstorm. Brought new fan for nothing!
5) Guy volunteer wasn't so enthusiastic in "dancing" with me. =(

Well, I told myself, "The next show would definitely be much better!"
This is the first time I'm doing the whole Fantasma Magic show by myself - Fun, Great Experience!

Amazingly, many people turned up today!

Lloyd - Transport & Supervise (Thanks for the transport =D)
Melvin - Came to watch "FREE MAGIC SHOW" & assist me! (Thanks for always assisting me in my shows)
Sean - Came to meet Lloyd. (Lucky shit)
Valarie - Accompany Sean. (Beware of Kenneth! Haha!)
Kenneth - Dropped by after work to support! (You surprised me! thanks for always supporting me Bro!
Sharon - Came to support & unwind =X (Thanks for helping to take photos! Hope you had fun. =))
Bowen - Joined us for lunch. (Love your flourishing video! + Never tell ya good buddy you're attached already!)

Ended the day with a walk into Magic Wand for window shopping! =P They sell loads of cool party & magic novelties!

Now, SLEEP!

Memorable Day it will be!

Woke up early in the morning at 7am to prepare for a children's magic show in the afternoon.
Such a rush cos' I slept only at 2.30am after cleaning up my room!
Phew! Luckily I could wake up!
Forgot to eat the puffs for breakfast I bought yesterday - Scolded by mum.
Rehearsed halfway through, went downstairs to meet Kenneth to get the Ulti-Dry Glass from him, had a delicious plate of Nasi Lemak (Blk 645 Yishun St 61) for breakfast!

Back to preparation all the way till 11.30am................ MY CHANGE BAG ZIPPER CAME OFF!
Lucky to leave some safety pins on my table while clearing my room last night! LUCKY ME!
So, fixed everything up, met Kenneth under my block & set off to pick Justin up!

Booked a cab for transport.

We expected this usual SMRT cab.

Instead, THIS CAME! Woohoo!

Our transport rocks!

Now, the exciting part of the day had just began!
This event is organised by a childrens charity organisation & being help in a tentage area..
Was searching for a white tentage with a carnival-like event, but all I could find is a Taoist event setup. (It's like those 7th-month tentage events with tables and "getais")
Called Leo to double check and he said "Yes! It's the Taoist society event!" LOL!
At that time I couldn't believe I was going to perform magic @ that place! *Shock Shock*

Well, unpacked, set up everything & waited.
Suddenly, one of the organisers came & told me there will be a change of location to the nearby secondary school!
Happy: At least a more appropriate location for a kids show!
Argh!: Gotto unpack & resetup everything again! (Haha! Lucky we had ample time)

Waited for my performance slot towards the end of the whole programme.
Kenneth made me an Elmo balloon to give away.

Isn't it cute?!
Justin helped out with the sound system.
Thanks guys! Things wouldn't go smoothly without your help!

Of course, the whole show didn't go as smoothly as I expected.
1) Fan for Snowstorm broke! - Used an electric fan! Thanks Kenneth! Haha!
2) Warm weather, palms were slippery & things slipped off my hands!
3) Realised some things were set up wrongly while performing! - Resulted in timing problems..

Not much of a huge hiccup in the magic show though.
Show ended & Kenneth & I headed to help the MacDonald's staff with balloon sculpting!
FUN FUN FUN indeed!
Thanks Justin for helping to pack up! =)

Lessons learnt - Always bring an invoice & receipt book! =P
Overall, JOB WELL DONE!

- Thursday, October 18, 2007 -

Many things happened since I last blogged..

FYP Marathon - Coming to an end
Movie Marathon - Resident Evil: Extinction, DayWatch
Anime Marathon - Flame Of Recca
Massive "makan marathon" - KahHong & Sean
Girlfriend's "Barbie Doll"
Weekend Work - Help my Dad & Mum

Well, a little about everything:

FYP is coming to an end! Dr. Yuen told us, "Stop all experiments! We'll focus on the report write up!" Good news: No more new fishes to cut, no more phenol-chloroform DNA isolation, no more PCR! Bad news: We got to rush the silver staining experiments!

Movies were alright, late night movies with guys ain't too fun or exciting.

Resident Evil: Extinction was rated by me 3.8/5! Exciting movie with nice shocks but the ending was just too sudden. I expected much more action towards the end. Worth to watch!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daywatch
Day Watch seemed a little tough to understand according to KahHong. It was fine I guess, just a regular DARK vs LIGHT movie. Nothing special.

The 3-day Anime Marathon rocks!

Childhood memories! I remembered those days when I got so hooked onto this 42-episode anime, I would tune to AXN every single day just to watch the whole series!
Flame of Recca is definitely rated a 4.9/5 by me! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

"Makan Marathon" was just full of Pontian Wanton Noodles, Chicken Rice, Popiah & Dessert at Yishun Central area, Block 924 & 925!
Gogogo! Great food! Kahhong, Sean & I had a few bowls of each! OMG!

Ok! Mrs. Shereen loves to play with dolls! That's a 100% sure!
I remembered this dear girl talking about putting on lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow on her boyfriend!
Well, allowed her to "doll her boy" up a little..
RESULTS:
Nail designs - I like that on my pinky!

Hair Waxed =X

Lastly, helped my Mum & Uncle at the market.. TOUGH JOB!
I cannot imagine dad & mum have been working like that all their life..
Dad is still recovering, can't work yet, thus I have to help out!
Hope dad gets strong soon! =)
