Thought it would be nice to share this.
One of my favourite comedy acts - Here goes!

Final Year Project's over and that's a good thing.

Everything went smoothly on Wednesday, both presentation and Q&A.

Weird questions include, "Which is the most expensive variety?" & "How much is it normally for a fighting fish?" =S

All of us were nervous, it's normal.

Found out that Dr Yuen is just "SO POWERFUL!" =X

Ms Lee Y C was sweet? Kind & Nice. =)

Dr Elangovan was encouraging and friendly

Dr Xu looked really cheeky with his smile.

Mr Foo seemed really bored.

Mdm A Koh looked pretty fierce.

Ms Chan & Mrs Mark was busy talking among themselves. =S

Some photos before the presentation:

Arnold with his "styled" hair before our rehearsal

CEO! Lol!

Good Job Everyone!

I'm pissed, sad, worried. All the feelings jumbled up.

Pissed cos' Dad just told me I have to head down to market tomorrow at 4am to help him out.
I have my FYP and test to prepare for tomorrow.
I am not feeling well.
I need rest!
Can't he just get my sister who has much more free time than me to help out?
He loves her too much to let her work in the market.
I know Dad is sick.
I have to help him.
And yes, I'm worried about him.
I'm sad cos' I need someone badly to whom I can trust to talk about all my problems.
There's only Her, but she can't be there for me for now.
I don't think I can pass the test tomorrow.
I don't think I will do a good job for FYP tomorrow.
I know I will be so exhausted helping Dad from 4am to 7am, reaching school at 8am for presentation rehearsal with Dr Yuen plus the usual Tuesday school from 8am to 5.30pm.
I want to just close my eyes, lay on my bed and forget everything.
I can't.
I do care for Her.
I do care for Dad.
I do care for FYP.
I do care for test.

I just want all of these to end as soon as possible.

Haha! Let's see..

I'm popular with many types of people? - Probably. Many people love me. Many hate me too! =D [& I seem happy about that. What can I do? Can't please everyone]

Fun to be around with? - Gotta ask the people I hang around with lately? Fun? Sherlyn, Sharon? =D

Gets blamed for everything? - No. Many things.

One of the most romantic people around?! - Am I? *She's nodding I guess*

Loves to laugh! - A 100%!

Loves to make people laugh - Hm.. I want to see happy people around. =)

EXTREMELY easy to fall in love with? - Ask the girls? Shereen?

Don't like people to tell me what to do. - True to a huge extent~

Taking a short break to look back in my life, everything seem to have changed so much, seemingly irreversibly, ever since I stepped into tertiary education, after my FYP, after I've started magic, after I've started working and most importantly, after I've met Her.

Looking forward, I can see so many things which are going to be different again, work, NS, studies, and of course Her.

  • FYP's coming to and end with the last final lap on Wednesday.
  • More tests and exams and reports and experimental datasheets to be due after FYP.
  • Polytechnic education is coming to an end with graduation next year.
  • After graduation, work type and frequency would most likely change.
  • Coming back into magic with a bigger change soon.
  • And Her, things are going to be very different from now on..
Anyone can tell me what to prioritize, it seems pretty obvious too. However, it's just.. Easier said than done, especially when many factors comes in together at the same time. I believe things will go on smoothly. Having Faith.

Truthfully, I may seem fine now.. But I just have not recovered from the shock of that day.

Something different this time.
FORTUNE TELLING!!!

Bought this deck of fortune telling playing cards from The Magic Hall recently for the fun of it, just to take a little break from all those card magic and card sleights.

Pretty fun to play around with fortune telling for once. However, no matter how many times I tried, I just know I couldn't make it as a fortune teller.

Let's stick to magic. Haa!

Interesting cards with different "divine messages" on every card and a pretty nice back design too!

Arapaimas are one type of fish that amazes me so much when I was young.
Didn't know it's name then when I saw it at a fish farm in my primary school days.

Then, it was known to me as "a huge black fish that jumps out of the water to eat".
Yesterday, it became "One of the largest fresh-water fish from the Amazon River that is a surface feeder".

I've also found quite a bit of interesting information on this amazingly huge fish.

Arapaima Gigas or Pirarucu

Family - Arapaimidae

Order - Osteoglossiformes

Length - Up to 5 metres!

Recognition - Black and silver body with darker fins and tail

Habitat - Deep freshwater

Feeding Behavior - Feeds on small fishes, carnivore

Residency - South America, Amazon River Basin

Life Span - Up to 20 years in captivity

Some interesting photos:

Same colour and size as one of the 4-5 Arapaimas in the huge pond.

This fish can swallow you WHOLE!

Brave Shit!

I felt disappointed when I found out that Arapaimas are beaten for the record for the largest freshwater fish by this jumbo catfish caught along Mekong River in Northern Thailand in 2005!

646-pound (293-kg) giant catfish - The size of a grizzly bear!

AMAZING CREATURES!

Fish farm visit for Agrotechnology module yesterday!
Pretty exciting especially for the fish feeding part of the day!

A brief introduction on the farm - Mainland Tropical Fish Farm is an ornamental fish farm in Pasir Ris which rears ornamental fishes such as kois, guppies & goldfishes for international export & local sales.

Photos~
Mainland Tropical Farm!

They have huge ponds! I see kois & more kois!

Check out the huge tanks of Golden Arowanas! This is worth tons of $$$$$!
*I actually thought of robbing this tank!*

The're pretty huge & beautiful! Each worth 10-20K?

Most exciting part of the day! - Feeding Arapaimas! They're HUGE HUGE HUGE!
$4 fish feed = 2 small fishes chopped into 4 pieces each. Costly but definitely worth the experience!

Nasty Ducks/Geese! Especially the brown guy!
Guess the 2 white ones are his bodyguards!

Large Terrapins! They look like they wanted to hug me early in the morning! =X

Lobsters? Dr. E said it was some kind of prawns.

Ahhh! Cute little crabs walking sideways!

"Lessons" part was actually pretty dry and boring!

Ended up feeding kois with Michael before leaving the farm! Beautiful kois.

Oh yea! Not forgetting entering a minus 20 degrees Celsius cold room where all the frozen fish food are stored for the longest period of time feeling so SHIOK!

I think I'll be the last survivor if stranded on the Antartica!

Do dreams come true?
Recently, past dreams seem to being coming true one by one..
Good thing those dreams were pleasant, memorable ones..
Nasty ones? I hope not..

Well, headed to Thomson Plaza for sis's birthday..
It's one place where my parents would bring me to very often when I was a kid..
That was 10 years back and I have not been coming here since then!

I wondered.. How would this place looks like now..
Memories indeed as my mum and dad tell us how we used to play & shop around there..

Thomson Plaza from the outside - Haven't changed at all other than some logos and paint colours.

Couldn't recognise the carpark at all now.. Other than the slopes & a few lighted signs on top.

Lightings still as dim as ever..

Entry from carpark - No Impression.

First step into the shopping area - Totally foreign.

Lots of new food stalls - Looks like this place has gone through a huge renovation & upgrade.

Walked straight and I saw a slightly "older" part of the shopping centre right ahead.

Shocked and surprised the moment I stepped out of the newly renovated area..
I looked left, a memories of my dreams shot straight to my mind.
I looked right, even clearer parts of my dreams could be "seen".
I looked up.. I knew it was the place I dreamt about occasionally for the past 10 years..
Now I remember everything & it all made sense.

Looked left - I could remember the stairway which I dreamt myself running up and down searching for something hardware & plant related. I also dreamt of myself running up & down with friends, something about saving someone's life! Haa~ Weird.

Looked right - I remembered there seemed to be a pathway leading straight down on the 2nd level.

Walked to the right & looked up - The ceiling was exactly how it looked like in my dream! I was right! there is a pathway and a stairway!
I remembered I dreamt about running along the 2nd level outside Yamaha looking at violins & guitars.

Walked further down - I totally recognised this place. I used to like to run around here. There was a little pond behind the escalators in my dreams.

Went up the escalators to the 3rd level, I looked down at the 2nd level and the clearest part of my dreams came into my head! This was the pavement & stairs I was running around when I was a kid & also in my dreams! VHive used to be Yamaha last time..

I still see YAMAHA! However, it's just a smaller shop at the extreme end of the pavement..

Unforgettable day. All these while, my dreams about me running on the pavement outside Yamaha, looking and violins.. Running up & down stairways searching for people & things.. looking up at grid designed ceilings were all flashbacks & memories of my childhood times in Thomson Plaza.. I've realised how amazing the human brain is.
